Security Online
Whilst connected to the Internet you must always be vigilant when it comes to supplying people with your personal details. At Blazing Stump Motel Wodonga we use encryption on our web servers when you transfer any details to us that might be sensitive. This means that if someone else was watching the information as it is being sent they cannot read it due to the encryption.

Guests providing email addresses may receive a request for rating their stay through a third party agent such a TripAdvisor. Occasionally, we may offer site visitors or newsletter recipients an opportunity to participate in a survey, promotion or competition. We will record your details while making a reservation with us. This is done to reduce the information you need to provide when you next make a booking. Your full name, email address, postal address, phone number, credit card type/number/security code/name on card numbers of stays and guest history such as preferred suite type, rates and personal preferences will be stored on our software system.
- Send newsletter email and/or marketing material:
We will only send newsletters and/or marketing material to people that have opted in to receive them. Subscription to our newsletter and/or marketing material occurs either through a user requesting to add their email address in the subscribe box that appears on www.blazingstump.com.au or www.blazingstumpmotelwodonga.com.au, during the booking process, entering a competition that requires subscription to our email list or opts in at time of check in through agreeing to the terms and conditions as set out on our registration card. Guests may opt out at any time by contacting us via bookings@blazingstump.com.au with a written request to ‘opt out’ of receiving further correspondence.
Our newsletters provide information about deals that are deemed to be valuable to our customers, and will occasionally offer incentives for completing surveys or participating in competitions or promotions. We may use the individual preferences provided by subscribers to tailor the relevance of our newsletter content.

We work with online payment gateway and fraud detection providers to enable secure credit card transactions through our online and over the counter services at Blazing Stump Motel Wodonga. We provide credit card information (where applicable) relating to bookings to enable them to process and screen the payment on our behalf. We take storing your credit card details seriously. We work with a third party email service provider to facilitate our newsletter marketing campaigns and request for ratings using the information described in this policy. They are not permitted to use your email address or share personal information for any other purpose.
- Legal obligations:
We may be required by law to disclose your PII. We may also disclose information against someone who poses a threat to our interests (such as customer fraud) or whose activities could cause harm to others.

Booking online
As soon as you click the ‘Book Now’ button, we use industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to connect you to our secure payment page. You’ll notice a padlock symbol appear on the header or footer of your browser or sometimes throughout the booking pages. SSL ensures that any information you enter is encrypted before it goes anywhere. It’s changed into a code with over 300,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 (300 quadrillion) different combinations! This scrambled data can’t be read as it travels across the Internet.
Booking over the phone
Remember that you can contact our Guest Services Agents between the hours of 7am and 10pm, 7 days a week, if you are more comfortable providing your credit card details over the phone.

Personal information gathered by Blazing Stump Motel Wodonga shall never be sold, nor will it be shared with any other party with the exception of RMS (rms.com.au) acting as the software provider, Direct Payment Solutions (DPS) providing secure and PCI compliant credit card data storage, Choice Hotels Australasia and Choice Hotels International (acting as franchisor) unless required to do so by law.
